1) Galtaji Temple:

Galtaji Temple is situated at least 10-15 km from Jaipur, Rajasthan. This temple is built on the narrow side between the hills that surround Jaipur. A natural waterfall was there that flows from upwards from the hills and falls downward. Galtaji represents ancient Hindu architecture. It is said that in the early 15th century a Saint named “Payohari Krishnadas” the follower of “Ramanandi Sampradaya” lived here and practiced Tapasya (meditation).


2) Birla Mandir:

 The statues of its founder “Rukmani Devi Birla and Brij Mohan Birla” – lie outdoors facing the temple with hands folded in “Namaskar” position. A Maharaja once sold the land to the “Birla Family” for the construction of a temple for just one rupee. The construction of “Birla Mandir” began in 1977 under the direction “Ramanujan Das and Ghanshyam Birla” and finally opened for tourists in 1988, 22 February. The temple is made of pure white marbles. It has four directions: the entrance, main hall, tower and the sanctum. 


3) Govind Dev Ji Temple:

The image of “Govind Dev Ji” is officially known as “Bajrakrit” , this is because the image is created by “Baijnath” the great grandson of “Shri Krishna” . Before creating “Bajrakit” around 5,000 years ago when “Baijnath” was 13 years old he asked his grandmother (daughter-in-law of Krishna) as to how “Shri Krishna” looked. The first image is known as “Madan Mohan Lal”, the second image is known as “Gopinath Ji” and the third one is famous by the name “Govind Dev Ji” in Jaipur. In this temple “Aartis” and “Bhogs” are offered 7 times a day.


4) Garh Ganesh Temple:

Garh Ganesh is the only temple in the 18th century of Hindu God “Ganesha” and this temple was built by “Sawai Jai Singh II” on the hills of Aravali near Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh Fort. It is to be said that most of the temples have “Lord Ganesha” idol with the “Elephant Trunk” but from a few temples Garh Ganesh is the one which has Lord Ganesha the human body. He built the temple and placed the statue of Ganesha before laying the foundation of Jaipur. The temple has a great fact about it that Sawai Jai Singh II decided to construct this temple before the construction of Jaipur. The construction of this temple has been done in this manner so that Maharaja can view this temple with the help of “Binoculars” from the Sheesh Mahal of City Palace.


5) Moti Dungri Temple:

Again, Moti Dungri is one of the temples which has an idol of Shri Ganesh (Hindu God) . The construction of this temple was completed in 1761 under the guidance of “Seth Jai Ram Paliwal”. This temple is located near the “Birla Mandir” and known as the famous temple in Jaipur. Moti Dungri temple is constructed under the “Moti Dungri Hill and Moti Dungri Fort”. It is to be said that the statue of Lord Ganesha was 500 years old. Seth Jai Ram Paliwal bought this idol in Jaipur in 1761. The statue of Lord Ganesh has its trunk in Rightwards direction and has red-colored body. Every Wednesday lots of people who worship Lord Ganesha visit Moti Dungri.


6) Kale Hanuman Ji Temple:

Today, Jaipur is famous for its historical places and 1000 years old temples of Hindu God/Goddess. The only temple in Jaipur that has Lord Hanuman’s idol in Black color is “Kale Hanuman Ji”. Local elders and people say that this black idol is mentioned in stories, scriptures and Puranas. According to saints and sages, Lord Surya Dev was the Guru of Hanuman Ji. This is the only temple in Jaipur where people come from faraway places for a unique tradition. The unique tradition is “Nazar Ka Thread” made in this temple with the great wish/blessings of Hanuman Ji. People came from abroad to make it for themself. People believe that children or adults who are facing health problems once visit here and get rid of their health issues.


7) Surya Mandir/Sun Temple:

According to Hindu mythology, the Sun Temple is like “Kalki Temple”. The Surya Mandir is formally constructed of stone masonry and lime and the entrance gate of this temple feels like a grand kingdom gate. The outer walls of Surya Mandir are constructed in such a manner that it seems like a small fort. The Surya Mandir is located in the Eastern part of Jaipur. This is also famous for the name “Monkey temple”. This is because before entering the temple you will find a lot of monkeys. This is one of the main features for visitors. Secondly, the unique architecture of Sun temple attracts people, that’s why this is the famous temple in Jaipur.


8) Pataleshwar Temple:

Pataleshwar temple is one of the temples dedicated to “Lord Shiv”. The temple is known as Pataleshwar because it is built underground. According to locals and elderly people this temple is 400 years old and the digging started during 1970. This is to be predicted that this temple is 25 meters deep from inside. After some time, stairs have been made so that devotees can go and worship “Lord Shiva”. The temple is so mysterious because even today no one knows who has constructed this temple. Some people say that this temple has been created by God himself to adorn the Earth.
